Monica Shepley joined the Chamber team in 2014 with 13 years of consecutive experience in the private, public and non-profit sectors. An alumnus of S.C.I.T.S. and Carleton University (BA Political Science), Monica lived and worked in Ottawa, Greenland, Denmark and the UK before returning to Sarnia in 2010. While abroad, Monica became fluent in Danish and learned the joys travel, good food and cycling. She worked as an intern for Members of Parliament, an office manager in the construction industry, a corporate contracts administrator at an international bank and a programme officer at an international NGO. She has managed multi-million dollar projects, but one of her favourites includes an international peer exchange program for medical and human rights professionals. Monica has applied her interests in politics, community social and environmental issues working and volunteering for various local organizations and projects including the popular Green Drinks Sarnia group, which she co-founded in 2013.
