Shirley de Silva
Shirley's senior leadership and management experience extends more than 20 years, and the combination of experience is wide-ranging having worked in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Shirley joined the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce as Chief Executive Officer in February 2016.
In 2010, she led her team to international recognition for Rebranding and Marketing Excellence as Chief Executive Officer of the Comox Valley Airport Commission (CVAC) . Previously, she served at the helm of the Kingston Norman Rogers Airport where her responsibilities included the completion of the first council approved 25-year airport master plan, rebranding and major infrastructure upgrades.
Shirley holds an undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Windsor and a graduate degree in Institutional Administration from Concordia University. In addition she holds a prestigious IAP (International Airport Professional) accreditation from AMPAP – ICAO, as well as certification in Lean Six Sigma, ISO 9000:2001, Municipal Leadership, and Emergency Preparedness. She speaks English, French and Spanish.
Shirley lives in Sarnia with her husband and two children.
