“The Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce is politically nonpartisan. The Chamber and our partners represent a broad range of opinions and attitudes, and we welcome that diversity however, we believe we must have an effective working relationship with any individual that holds elected office” says Carrie McEachran, CEO, Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce. We also believe in the importance of voters making informed decisions and we are pleased to be partnering with the Imperial Theatre and The Book Keeper on providing this platform for voters to do just that”.
“The Imperial Theatre is proud to partner with the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce and The Book Keeper for a municipal debate to be held at the theatre. This event will take advantage of the theatre’s brand-new, state-of-the-art broadcast suite which will allow the debate to be live streamed to those unable to attend” says Brian Austin Jr., Executive Director of the Imperial Theatre. “The theatre is also excited to showcase the renovations that have been completed over the last two years.”
“An indie bookstore is literally a space full of ideas and stories and naturally a place for conversations and the exchange of knowledge and philosophies. Sponsoring the municipal election debates is a logical fit for The Book Keeper.” Says Susan Chamberlain of The Book Keeper. “We are happy to be partnering with the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce and The Imperial Theatre to encourage our community to be informed and engaged in the electoral process.”
The objective of these events is to enable the public and our business community to make an informed decision when they vote on election day. The Chamber of Commerce will solicit questions from members and the public through surveys and questions can be directly submitted to info@slchamber.ca.
In theatre tickets for this event will be $5.00 each and the live stream will be free of charge. Tickets can be purchased at the Imperial Theatre box office or online at https://www.imperialtheatre.net.
