What's New This Week - December 19, 2024
As we approach the end of another year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the accomplishments and challenges we’ve faced together in our vibrant Sarnia Lambton community. This holiday season serves as a reminder of the strength, resilience, and unity that defines the business sector in our region.
I am incredibly grateful for your continued support and collaboration. Together, we have navigated through various changes, adapted to new circumstances, and celebrated our successes. The dedication to our amazing local businesses and the Chamber inspires me every single day, and it is this spirit of community that makes Sarnia Lambton a wonderful place to live and work.
As we gather with family and friends this holiday season, let us cherish the moments of joy and connection. May this time be filled with laughter, warmth, and reflection on the year past, as we look forward to new opportunities in the year ahead.
On behalf of the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce, I wish you all a joyous holiday season and a prosperous New Year. Let’s continue to support one another and work together to make Sarnia Lambton an even better place for everyone.
Warmest wishes,
Carrie McEachran
CEO, Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce

CHIC team delivers outreach for Lambton’s most vulnerable residents
The Community Health Integrated Care Pilot (CHIC) team in Lambton County has been operating since June, funded by a $2.5 million provincial government grant spread over three years.
The mobile crisis response team aims to provide easier access to support for individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health crises, and/or addiction.
Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, Michael Tibollo, said in a release that the “government is funding innovative programs like this one in Lambton County as a critical step to filling gaps in mental health and addictions care, addressing the surge in demand for substance use services and helping ensure vulnerable people connect to high-quality care where and when they need it.”
